For Heather Tetrault, the founding of My Care Finders was a culmination of her own experience and a lifelong passion for helping people. Her professional career includes expertise in wealth management and banking. But it was the personal journey of finding her mother a suitable senior care home that turned her attention towards helping others through the same process. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration from Hodges University and became a Certified Dementia Practitioner to help other families through some of their most challenging decisions.
Through her experience and tenure as an Assisted Living Facility Administrator, Heather recognized that families often felt confused and overwhelmed when seeking a suitable senior residence for their loved ones.
Realizing the complexity of the placement search, Heather resolved to provide personalized consulting services to help families with this complex and emotional decision. In 2018, My Care Finders opened its doors. Heather is a well-known and respected senior advocate with expertise in Alzheimer’s, dementia, and seniors’ social and financial needs. She is a committed senior advocate who treats those she works with as family – after all, it was family that inspired her to open her business.
In addition to being the owner and Founder of My Care Finders, Heather works as a mentor for foster children through her association with the Heart Gallery and is a volunteer at Manatee County Animal Services. Additionally, she volunteers as a support group facilitator with the Alzheimer’s Association.
