My husband and I just moved to Florida at the end of June and I wanted to find an assisted living facility for my mother so she would be closer to us. I was very fortunate to have someone recommend My Care Finders to me and even more fortunate to work with Heather. From the start, she was compassionate, knowledgeable, and responsive. In my mom’s last placement, I had to do all the research and coordinate all the visits to the different facilities. It took a lot of time to find the right one and I had no idea about assisted living homes or what to expect, and I could only rely on the people working at each facility to answer my questions. This time, it was so helpful to have someone to coordinate the visits to the different facilities and select them based on our interests and requests. I also loved that Heather was the point of contact for each placement until we made our decision. She was a neutral party and could answer all of my questions without bias. We also needed to find a lawyer since some of my mom’s legal paperwork was in another state and we needed to update it since she would now reside in Florida.
Heather recommended an outstanding attorney who helped us to update all of the legal paperwork. On August 27th two months to the date, we moved here, we will bring my mom out to one of the best places I have ever seen for assisted living. We could not have done this without the help and guidance from Heather. Having someone who was our advocate to get the best placement my mom made all the difference. I had the pleasure to meet with Heather back in 2019 when I needed assistance to locate an ALF that would meet the needs for my mom. As of 2021 I had reached out to her again in helping me find a new facility that offered Memory Care. Heather’s diligence, dedication and enthusiasm resulted both times in finding two exceptional facilities.
