The biggest concern that I feel that you need to be aware of is if your loved one has been diagnosed with any kind of Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s or dementia.

Even though they’re OK right now and they’re perfectly fine to move into an assisted living community, I highly recommend that you’re looking for assisted living with attached memory care and that’s because as they age in place and they go through their journey, if they do need to go to memory care, you’re not having to move them altogether to a brand new community and having to go through the move and pay a brand new community fee.

To me this is the biggest point to make sure that you all understand because when you’re looking at these communities, just because your loved one is OK now, you need to also think about what’s important for them in the future.
