When looking for a senior living community, there are four different licensures for the State of Florida. Some of the different licensure is an LNS, Limited Nursing Service license. They’re actually able to help with Accu-Checks and insulin injections.
Whereas, the Standard License Community, which is primarily what you will find in the State of Florida, they are able to provide basic assistance, which consists of bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and they’re there to assist but they will not help with total care.
The highest license is ECC, which is Extended Congregate Care. They can help with everything an LNS is able to do, in addition to also feeding tubes.
